Remote vs. Location Based Businesses
When comparing thoughts on remote vs. location-based brands, there are pros, cons, and overall advantages and disadvantages for each.
Being remote means more than where your team is housed and working. Sometimes being remote can be operational or employment-based. A brand can conduct day-to-day operations as a fully online brand, have a physical location for operations, or be a hybrid model like ours.
SociallyUP is a hybrid brand that embraces having a physical office and a remote team. Our physical office is located in downtown Bloomington Indiana where we can meet with local clients when/as needed. While some of our team works from our physical office, others work remotely. Being remote is also something our physical office team does as well. We love the flexibility of being able to work from anywhere.
Being remote has opened doors to improved communication, new talent, and schedule flexibility which is priceless. While we love having a physical location, we often question
if it is truly needed. For us, at the end of each yearly evaluation, the answer continues to be - a firm yes. We love how we can showcase our credibility, team, accomplishments, and more with our physical location. As our brand continues to grow our love for our local area stays the same. Our remote team helps us to keep expanding, while our physical location continues to keep us rooted in our local area to the brands we serve.
